Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is an upcoming superhero film from DC Studios, set to release on June 26, 2026. Directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, the film is the second installment in the new DC Universe (DCU) under the “Gods and Monsters” chapter.
The story follows Kara Zor-El, portrayed by Milly Alcock, who embarks on a cosmic journey of vengeance after the brutal murder of her father, Zor-El (David Krumholtz). Accompanied by her super-powered canine companion, Krypto, Kara crosses paths with Ruthye Marye Knoll (Eve Ridley), a young alien girl seeking justice for her own loss. Their quest leads them to confront the villainous Krem of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts), who is responsible for Ruthye’s father’s death.
Filming commenced in January 2025 at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden and London, with additional locations in Iceland. Principal photography is expected to conclude in May 2025. The film is produced by James Gunn and Peter Safran, aiming to establish a darker, more mature tone for the DCU.
