John Wick 5″ is in the early stages of development. Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer confirmed in August 2020 that a fifth installment was in the works, initially intended to be filmed back-to-back with “John Wick: Chapter 4.” However, due to scheduling conflicts and the COVID-19 pandemic, production was delayed. Director Chad Stahelski has expressed a desire to focus on other projects before returning to the “John Wick” series.

In the meantime, the “John Wick” universe continues to expand with upcoming projects. “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina,” a spin-off film directed by Len Wiseman and starring Ana de Armas, is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025. The story follows Eve Macarro, a ballerina-assassin seeking revenge for her father’s death.
Additionally, a prequel series titled “The Continental” is set to explore the origins of the iconic hotel for assassins. The series is expected to delve into the backstory of Winston Scott, portrayed by Colin Woodell, in 1970s New York City.
While “John Wick 5” is not currently in active production, fans can look forward to these related projects that continue to enrich the franchise’s narrative.
